About Me

My photo
jennifer mccauley
Belfast, United Kingdom
I am a visual artist currently based in Belfast, United Kingdom. I specialize predominantly in fine art printmaking and installation, combining both traditional and contemporary methods. In my practice I explore the relationship between patterns, maths, geometry and nature. I am particularly interested in how mathematical sequences seem to underpin patterns and forms found in nature. I create work using screen-printed colour and sequences of cut-out geometric shapes, incorporating light and projection which interacts with the paper's surface. I manipulate the paper by cutting and folding, forming three-dimensional installations that allow me to create multiple perspectives for the viewer. I am currently studying a Masters in Fine Art at University of Ulster. I hold a BA in Art & Design and also a BA (Honours) in Fine Art Printmaking.
